The inspiration for this piece came from the memories of Nino Shamatava, Creative Director of Ushatava, about the jewelry that belonged to the women in her family. You could always find statement gemstone earrings in their jewelry boxes, which often became family heirlooms and were passed down from generation to generation. A silver mono earring named Kartuli, which means “Georgian,” combines traditional elements and a modern form. The piece consists of two parts: a stud with an engraved national pattern and a bar with a large agate in a simple setting. Due to this solution, the main element of the earring is located behind the ear, not in front of it. A reliable clasp and balanced proportions ensure that the earring sits comfortably on the ear. The earring is rhodium-plated.
