The Dress with a Measuring Tape

A simple tailor’s mannequin was the inspiration for this dress. The upper part of the piece follows its shape and look with all the basic construction lines. Hip pads are attached to the sides of the dress to make the piece fully comply with the canonical silhouette. The dress is made of canvas — a material that has been used to upholster dress forms and for art linen for centuries.
